What? … I’m told that’s not enough to be named Person of the Year.

Well, you got me stumped.

Let’s go back to the Time’s definition of Person of the Year: “person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or ill, and embodied what was important about the year.”

Good or ill, huh? Well, after the last couple of roller coaster months in the stock markets, which have driven more than one person mad, I think that the person who embodies best our common insanity is: BRITNEY SPEARS!

No? Wrong again?

OK, enough already, I’m sure you will be as unsurprised as me to find out that Times has declared Barack Obama as Person of the Year 2008.
