SoulPancake, an online discussion about life’s important questions (are you really surprised I have an account?) had yet another great question today: “If you could get the world to fight one current human rights violation, what would it be?”

My answer: This is quite a difficult question, and I wish I hadn’t read other readers’ comments because it just made it even harder to answer 😉 I would have to say something to do with children, as they are our future (however cliché that sounds, its true), and if we could raise one generation that isn’t messed up, it would be a great step towards cleaning up the mess we have made of our world. In the same vein, I would say that the one human rights violation concerning children I would want the entire world to fight would be a lack of access to education – not just reading or writing, mind you, but true, quality, spiritually empowering education.
